METAL COAXIAL TWEETER SUPPORT

The new Premium coaxial tweeter support allows for rapid conversion of the component

speaker elements into a coaxial system. Fashioned from zinc alloy, the metal coaxial

tweeter support represents a new application of our BTT technology. When inserted into

the centre of the driver, it effectively reduces the excess energy produced within the voice

coil assembly. This new tweeter support system also offers adjustable positioning of the

tweeter. Three different angles, each 45° apart, allow for the tweeter to be positioned for

the best acoustical reflection angle based upon your specific installation needs.

METAL TWEETER HOUSING

Our Premium 25 mm tweeter housing represents a direct application of our BTT technology

originally applied to our Q-Line tweeters. Every Premium tweeter is encapsulated within a

specially designed metal cooling housing. Coupled to the tweeter’s motor assembly, the

excess energy generated inside the tweeter’s magnet and voice coil assembly is dissipated

into the surrounding environment providing exceptional performance, improved power handling

and high reliability. The compact design allows the Premium tweeter to be used in applications

where size is a consideration.

WET POWDER COATING (WPC)

This deposition process applies a thin coating of metal to another surface. In our

application of this technology, extremely fine and absolutely pure titanium powder is

applied to our polypropylene cones. This results in an increase to the cone’s

strength-to-weight-ratio as well as in the reduction of unwanted out-of-bandwidth

harmonics and acoustical distortion.

TWEETER PROTECTION

A light bulb is incorporated into the Premium and Reference crossover networks to

extend the life of the tweeter by protecting it against overloading. This element automatically

absorbs excess energy (lighting the bulb) and allows continuous operation of the

tweeter even at extreme volumes.

COMPOSITE BASKETS

Using a combination of polyamide ABS composite reinforced with extremely short glass fibers,

our Premium and Reference Line baskets withstand temperature and humidity extremes with little,

if any, reaction. The magnetic motor assembly is added through an insert molding process,

resulting in precise orientation with the cone and voice coil. Because the basket is non-metallic,

non-magnetic and resonance-free, it becomes one of the most ideal designs for automotive

loudspeaker application. With our new PCE models, the included metal phase plug and metal

coaxial tweeter support provide a new application of our BTT technology by effectively

reducing the excess energy produced by the voice coil.
